The great assortment of the displayed items range from furnitures, clothes, toys, arts and crafts, jewelries, collectibles and antiques collected from all over the world to locally made products. Its like being in an epsiode of "Clean House" where you can see customers and sellers haggling for prices and making deals. Its not exactly for everybody but for those who seek a true bargain and an avid collector may find something worth their while. This flea market is open very Sundays from 7 AM to 3 PM. Attended the annual Leland Avenue Street Fair last Sept. 19. Its an event where local retailers, vendors, artists and local service providers lined up in this street of downtown Visitacion Valley to celebrate the new streetscape and renovation of Leland Avenue. This location is at the San Francisco and Daly City border near the grounds of Mclaren Park, Cow Palace and Candlestick Park. The set up reminded me of the Sunday fair which Tomas Morato Avenue used to have in the early 90's where the visitors and guests are all from the community and nearby residents. It offered a live entertainment, great food, info on community projects and a lot of retail products - CBD |
